Our Story

The practice's history goes back to 1975 when the founder first opened his doors in Caulfield. Howard Silman then took over the baton from 2000.

In early 2012, Justin Zamsky established Zamsky Accounting. Later in the year, Justin acquired Howard's practice. Steven Yao joined Zamsky Accounting as a senior accountant in 2013. After another two acquisitions over the years, the practice developed a thriving personal and business client base. 

In 2024, after working for the practice for more than 10 years, Steven was promoted to be a Partner. To recognise Steven's exceptional contribution to the practice, the practice name was changed to Zamsky Yao Chartered Accountants (ZYCA).

Today, ZYCA is blooming and has grown to be one of the most well-respected accounting firms in Melbourne.

The practice has expanded and evolved, continuing its tradition of building long-term, strong and mutual trust relationships with clients from a wide range of industries that cover all professions.
